Great Design Trumps Bad Market
CLEARWATER , FL - June 4, 2007 - Despite the housing slump, Clearwater based architectural firm, Design Styles, Inc. has announced that it is continuing to grow its staff to keep up with the demand from local and regional builders. The award-winning firm is continuing its work with builders by developing new and refining existing home designs. These designs offer more affordable housing with a higher value and greater attention to design.
"The market has changed and the demand for quality design and attention to detail matters more than it has in years. Today's buyers are more sophisticated and their attention to design is keen," said Andy Dohmen, AIA, partner of Design Styles. "Builders are very aware of this, and that's exactly why they're coming to us to revamp their designs" Dohmen continues.
"Our homes are specifically designed to be built easier, quicker and more efficiently," Dohmen says. "While these refinements in design are creating more affordable homes, they are also adding value. Some of the monies saved in construction costs, are being reallocated to features and finishes that buyers can see and touch," says Dohmen.
Dohmen partnered in 1998 with Peter Fertig, AAIA to form what is now known as Design Styles, Inc. Since it's beginning, the firm has experienced tremendous growth in many areas including its size, services and client base. As a firm deeply rooted in solid architectural designs and construction efficiencies, Design Styles continues to grow.
